Low Salt Gravy
Ingredients
- meat juices
- gravy browning - (a product that will add colour and flavour)
- cornflour
- herbs, spices, onions - for flavouring
Instructions
Method:
- Allow the meat juices to cool and skim off the fat
- Thicken with cornflour
- Add gravy browning until the gravy is the colour you want
- Add flavourings as you wish
- Don’t use stock cubes or gravy mixes
- Use gravy sparingly and include as part of your fluid allowance
